Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a practical, evidence-based therapy that helps you understand and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours that affect your mood and wellbeing.

It supports you to build skills for managing anxiety, depression, stress, and everyday challenges by focusing on how your thinking patterns influence your feelings and actions.

CBT sessions are collaborative and tailored to your needs, helping you develop coping strategies that empower you to feel more in control and improve your quality of life.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing
(EMDR)

EMDR is a trauma-informed therapy that supports you to process difficult memories and the beliefs that can come with them (like “I’m not safe” or “It was my fault”).

You don’t need to “push through” or relive everything in detail. We focus on helping your nervous system settle, building coping strategies first, and then gently working through what’s ready to be processed.

EMDR can be helpful for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and experiences that still trigger strong reactions today.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
(ACT)

ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) helps you live a richer, fuller life by teaching you to accept difficult thoughts and feelings instead of struggling against them.

ACT recognises that pain and suffering are a normal part of life, and trying to avoid or control them often makes things harder. Instead, it guides you to notice your experiences with kindness and mindfulness, and to focus on what truly matters to you.

With ACT, you learn to accept your feelings, choose a valued direction, and take action that aligns with your values. It’s helpful for anxiety, depression, trauma, and also works well in couples therapy and anger management.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
(DBT)

DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) is an evidence-based therapy that was originally developed to support people with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and is recognised in national guidelines as an effective approach.

DBT can be especially helpful when emotions feel overwhelming, change quickly, feel hard to understand, or when relationships feel intense or difficult to manage.

It also supports people to move away from unhelpful coping strategies (including self-harm) and build safer, more effective ways of getting through tough moments.

DBT is grounded in cognitive behavioural therapy and also includes mindfulness-based practices. It focuses on building four key skill areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness — practical tools you can use in everyday life.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical Hypnotherapy combines hypnosis with psychological treatment and is delivered by trained professionals like Clinical Hypnotherapists, Psychologists, or Mental Health Social Workers.

During hypnotherapy, you enter a deeply relaxed, trance-like state where your therapist connects with your subconscious mind. This helps uncover hidden memories, emotions, and patterns that may be driving unhelpful behaviours or symptoms.

By accessing these deeper layers, hypnotherapy can often speed up progress in areas like pain management, anxiety, depression, phobias, addiction, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Many health professionals use hypnotherapy to help clients achieve faster, lasting results.

Internal Family Systems
(IFS)

IFS (Internal Family Systems) is a gentle, compassionate therapy that helps you understand and heal the different parts of yourself.

We all have many “parts” inside us—some that carry pain, fear, or protect us in different ways. IFS helps you get to know these parts with kindness and curiosity, so you can heal old wounds and restore balance within yourself.

This therapy supports you to build self-awareness, improve emotional wellbeing, and develop healthier relationships with yourself and others. IFS is effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and many other emotional challenges.
